Djed Spence has sent shockwaves through the online sphere after his interesting interaction with Igor Tudor.
Tonight was an evening Tottenham Hotspur would rather forget, with the London side losing 5-2 in a brutal defeat in the first leg of their Round of 16 Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.
Fans react to Djed Spence’s handshake with Igor Tudor
After just 15 minutes of play, ‘Spurs’ ended up 3-0 down at The Riyadh Air Metropolitano, following two colossal errors from Antonín Kinský, who caused two of the goals by slipping twice in a pair of blunders that will live with him for a very long time to come for all the wrong reasons.
The Czech shot-stopper was subsequently subbed off without much of an acknowledgement from Igor Tudor.
Later in the match, Djed Spence was taken off, and as per HotspurReports, the player did the following: “Djed Spence goes to the bench, then goes over to Igor Tudor, taps him on the shoulder and shakes his hand.”
The Spurs Web posted a similar version of events, before speculating: “Djed Spence has walked from the dugout over to Igor Tudor and tapped him on the back to shake his hand, before sitting down. Is he making a point here?”
Of course, fans have reacted to the news.
One posted: “Djed Spence teaching Igor Tudor common courtesy, what a man.”
Another pondered: “Igor Tudor not acknowledging the players, he subs off. Djed Spence, who got off the bench, went over to him and acknowledged him. A message to the manager from Spence, or am I looking into it?
